Detailed system information will
be presented, together with any
found system conflicts.
Contents of AUTOEXEC.BAT and
CONFIG.SYS will be shown, and an
option to save to file or send to
printer will be given.
It is recommended that this check
is done first, prior to doing the
'Quick Setup'.
Press <Enter> to view the system
configuration.
3
Quick Setup will automatically
initialize your card for the best
possible configuration.
You do, however, have the choice
of selecting the monitor type,
from the list of available monitors.
If the monitor you are currently
using is not in the monitor list,
you may want to Customize for best
possible screen size\position.
Any system conflicts or suggestions
will be made known to you here.
Press <Enter> for Quick Setup.
4
This selection installs graphics
drivers for specific applications
which are already installed on
your hard disk, such as Windows
and AutoCAD.
Most of the drivers are present
on disk #1 (or CD-ROM), and this
is the disk which you should start
off with.
The installation utility will then
provide you with further
instructions, asking you to insert
other diskette(s) when necessary.
Press <Enter> to see the list of
supported Application Drivers.
5
Adapter Utilities Installation.
This option allows one to install
the Video Adapter Utilities onto
the hard drive.
The installation program assumes
that the source files are to be
copied from the drive:\directory
where you initiated this
installation.
Normally this would be your floppy
diskette drive A (or CD-ROM).
Upon completion, you will be asked
if you wish to set the path to the
directory containing the utilities.
Press <Enter> to commence.
6
You can test the functionality of
your graphics adapter using this
option.
The following diagnostics are
performed to thoroughly test the VGA
and/or the Accelerator portion of
your graphics adapter.
■ VGA Memory test
■ VGA Text test
■ VGA Standard graphics test
■ Accelerator Diagnostics
Press <Enter> to run video card
diagnostics.
7
This is designed for experienced
users who wish to custom-tailor
their card configuration for best
possible performance.
Setting to Factory Defaults is also
available as an option.
Changes will be saved in a non-
volatile memory and the card will
be re-initialized.
Once saved, settings will remain
unchanged until altered.
Press <Enter> to make Advanced
Settings Configuration changes
to your graphics hardware.

You may see how well the available mode would appear on your monitor.
However, it will not be possible to adjust the screen size/position; only
the default modes will be displayed.
WARNING: To avoid possible monitor damage, please check your monitor manual
for allowed resolutions and refresh rates. Press <Enter> to bring up screen.
10
Select the resolution(s) which you wish to set up your monitor for. It is
recommended that you go through each one of the available options and
configure for the most stable and flicker-free display.
Following your selection, you will be asked to choose from a list of other
monitor parameters that will define your monitor's specifications.
11
Select the frequency and interlacing scheme that matches your monitor
specifications as closely as possible.
Screen size, position, frequency and polarity could all be altered.
If none of the options produce a stable display or you know that your
monitor does not support the shown resolution, then choose 'Not Supported'.
12
You will need to specify the
destination directory where you
wish the drivers to be copied to.
The INSTALL program will attempt
to automatically detect the source
directory of the driver(s) to be
installed. However, if that will
not be attainable, you will be
prompted to specify the source drive
and directory.
At all times, you will be closely
guided throughout the driver
installation process.
Press <Enter> to install the
driver of your choice.
13
